INSTRUCTIONS...
FormLabs printers can be finicky when the cartridge resin level gets low. To avoid print errors or slow-filling cycles, it's best to consolidate resin to fuller cartridges (which can be a slow and tedious process). This coupling stabilizes and aligns two cartridges perfectly so you can recapture every drop of resin cleanly and with minimal risk of spills.
Set your Base
Choose a 'keeper' cartridge* and set it on a stable worksurface. Remove cap and then set the coupling in place as shown.
* Use the heaviest empty you have.
Remove Valve
Take a nearly-empty cartridge and flip it upside* so that you can remove the pinch valve with a pair of needle nose pliers (which pops right off).
* Close the air vent first!
Seat Cartridge
Seat your 'Nearly-empty' cartridge in to the coupling as shown. The output will automatically align with the opening.
* Avoid direct sunlight here
Vent and wait
Be sure to vent your 'nearly-empty as you would if you were printing; this will ensure it drains fully.
*Usually takes around 10-15 min.
